Leopoldo Irriguible

Despite he was a vocational doctor, he studied painting and drawing at different academies and schools of Arts and Crafts. He arrived in Eivissa in the early seventies, and he settled on the island for good in 1973. His start followed a realistic stye which ended up drifting into abstraction. He used oil paint, watercolour and pastel. Over time, the colour white began to predominate in his work; surely due to the influence of the light and the architecture of the island. In addition, geometric shapes will gain relevance in his work.
