Barrau i Buñol, Laureà (Barcelona 1863 – Santa Eulària des Riu 1957)
Educated in Barcelona and at the School of Fine Arts in Paris, he traveled to different European and Spanish cities, where he continued to train, discovering new trends and exhibiting his work. Ibiza became one of his favorite places and he stayed there for long periods, in which he painted works inspired by the landscape and the people of the island, until he settled there definitively in 1935 in a house in Puig de Missa from Santa Eulària des Riu. He cultivated almost all genres, although he opted for the portrait and the figure, which made him the winner of different awards and prizes.
