Herreyns, Gilbert (Brussels 1943)
He trained at the Escola de Belles Arts de la Cambre, and from 1973 he has resided permanently in the Pitiüses Islands, where he will open his Taller Blau and Taller Blau II. Since the sixties he has participated in numerous exhibitions all over the world and has received several awards, such as the Joan Miró Award in Barcelona. Although his work can be divided into different stages, there is always a rational evolution towards the path of abstraction. In addition, he is characterized by meticulous technical perfection in oil, acrylic and ink on any of the supports he uses.
