He was the brother of the painter Rafel Tur Costa. He got a scholarship and went to Madrid to study ceramics and art. Upon returning, he settled in Formentera where he lived until three years before dying. He began to make concrete wall murals, many of which were commissioned by different hotels in Eivissa and Formentera. In 1977 he set up a workshop in La Mola and began a prolific stage as a potter, during which he worked with brightly coloured enamels and transferred his drawings to ceramics.
