Pomar Juan, Antoni (Ibiza 1929 – 2017)
From a very young age he began to show an interest in drawing and painting, a fact that led him to study Fine Arts at the Escola Superior Sant Carles in Valencia, where he learned about traditions and techniques that significantly influenced his figurative style. A teacher at the School of Arts and Crafts until 1992, he held numerous exhibitions and won different prizes throughout his life, such as the Silver medal from the First International Exhibition of Painters in Ibiza in 1971. Oil and acrylic are the predominant techniques in his work, and landscapes, portraits, everyday scenes and marines are recurring motifs. In 1962 he participated in the foundation of the Puget Group.
